I am so thankful for...

I just wanted to do a quick post on the things that I am grateful for. With it being the Christmas season I feel like as I reflect on the last year I have been blessed so much.
First and most importantly I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ.

I'm also so grateful for my wonderful husband and my 3 kiddos. They make each day so exciting and great! They bring so much happiness to me, and I love them so much.








Next I am truly grateful for my parents (all of them) not everybody is lucky enough to have 3 sets of parents, but I am and each and everyone of them mean a lot to me. I love the closeness that I feel with each one of them, and I will say that I have the best Mom and mother in law EVER!!








I am also grateful for all of Dan & my siblings. I love spending time with all of them and the niece's and nephew's, they are so much fun! The memories that we make with each of them are fabulous and Dan & I are so grateful for those relationships.








Next I am so grateful for our great friends... The Jensen's, we met Nick & Tanya about 5 years ago and we have been the best of friends ever since, they are like family to us and the Jensen's are just those fabulous friends that can drop over at anytime and it doesn't matter if your house is a mess or if your not dressed for the day and it's o.k. Nick and Tanya mean a lot to Dan & I and we love spending time with them and we love all the laughs that we have.






Last but not least I just wanted to also say how grateful I am for our soldiers who are away from their families this holiday season to fight for the freedoms that you and I both share, I pray for them and their families and I hope that they can return home soon.

What is ODP?



No, thats OPP!

ODP is The Olympic Development Program (ODP). It is a national program that is "designed to identify and develop talented, committed youth soccer players to represent their state, region and country in soccer competitions. It is also intended to aid in the preparing and showcasing of the players as student/athletes for exposure into collegiate soccer programs."

Logan tried out for the program this year and after 12 hours of tryouts spread out over a month....he made the team! Good Job Buddy!

I know people don't love to check out other peoples cruise / vacation photos. But since Nick requested to see them...here they are! Marcie and I took a cruise for our 13th Anniversary. We boarded the "Majesty of the Seas" (Royal Caribbean) in Miami, went to Nassau Bahamas, Coco Cay, Key West and back to Miami. It was a great trip!

This use to be one of my favorite pictures I had ever taken, if you remember,Mike and I spotted this little juxtaposition in New Mexico on our way to Texas...

I now have a new favorite. I snapped this pic out the window of our tour van on Nassau.

After the McCain Palin bid for the White House was thwarted by the evil left,we wont be having a female as vice president this election cycle....





However, Sunset Jr. High will have a female vice president this year. After preliminary votes, speeches, posters and portfolios Brianna was elected as the 7th grade Vice President for the 2008-2009 school year!! Congratulations B!!!

Hobo dinners anyone???

You know those friends that you have that it doesn't matter how often you see or talk to them, when your with them you just have a great time and pick up right where you left off...well that's how our friends the Tibbitt's are we love them and we always know that when were with them we will have a blast, so we were excited when they called and wanted us to go on a hike and do some hobo dinners, so we packed it up and went up Adams Canyon and had a great time! The kids loved it just as much getting dirty and getting wet in the river, and we all loved our fabulous hobo dinners thanks to Dan & Steve.

Choose your picking...

What do double cheeseburgers and Monday night football have in common? Let me explain. Me and Logan were hanging out Monday night watching the Jets and Chargers play on Monday night football.




If you remember the game, the Jets intercepted the ball in the opening drive and ran it in for a touchdown. Jets are winning 7-0, at that point Logan says "its over, Jets are going to win this game". I saw an opportunity, I wanted to show him that the first team that scores doesn't always win. I said ill bet you a dollar that the Chargers are going to win. He took the bet and the rest of the night we were talking junk about who was going to be eating a double cheese burger the next day (double cheese burgers at McDonald's are 99 cents). The Chargers ended up winning the game 48-29 and i didn't think much else about it. The next day when I got back from work, I had this note waiting for me:



If you cant read it it says "Choose your picking, here's your money (hope that double cheese burger tastes good)"

I still don't really know what "choose your picking" means but I thought it was funny!
