Blowing out the candles on the.....Brownies!?
I'm not gonna lie, I am not really feeling this post today...that is mainly because my mind is somewhere else:
Cancun anyone? That's right, the Frost Family (minus the kids) are going to venture down to Cancun in honor of Colby's graduation from medical school.
However, There was some good stuff going on in May starting with Marcie's Birthday and Mothers Day. Unfortunately, I was doing some military training on the East Coast and missed both but I did send flowers!
These weren't the ones but they looked similar. Marcie failed to take a pic of them and I just wanted to make sure that this event was well documented because apparently she dosent get flowers very often (news to me, I distinctively remember sending some in 2007...) In all seriousness, I do want to take the time to tell Marcie what a great wife and mother she is. I really appreciate what she does for our family and feel that we would be completely lost without her!
I got a chance to see Times Square, a Yankee Game and loads of other stuff on the East Coast. If you want to see pics...check out my Facebook page.
In other news, We celebrated Bugs 10th'' birthday this week (since we will be gone on 2 June).
Quick story here, Marcie was so excited to make Bugs an "Oreo" cake. She went to Trolley Square and bought the special Oreo cake pans and and spent countless time online looking up the best recipes. For some reason, the cake didn't live up to her exacting standards (twice) so she finally said "screw it" and made some brownies for her birthday....classic!
I'm sure Brianna and Logan did some stuff last month also....we just don't have any pics of it...
2 other things that i have become fascinated with this month:
For all you Adkins Dieters out there(I'm not one of them)...I give you the The KFC "double down"...This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe® or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce.
I just want to know....what is Colonel Sauce?
And...my new favorite drink...it even has 3% lemon juice and only 20 calories for the entire can...."the nectar of the Gods"
Lastly, I cant go to Cancun without telling you what to watch for next month:

No matter the cost, vote Brianna Frost
I want to start out Aprils post by telling Brianna GOOD LUCK! She is running for SBO Vice President for Sunset Jr High. Good luck B, we are proud of you! A big thanks to James for making this banner, it was way cool.
It was also Logan's birthday on April 28th, he turned 12. I just cant believe how fast hes growing up. He is going to be a deacon and will be passing the sacrament (way cool)! Anyone that knows Logan, knows his affinity for Mexican food and adrenaline related activities. This year we took him to our new favorite Mexican restaurant the Red Iguana, followed by some indoor skydiving at iFly.
Killer nachos
The "Tacos Don Ramon":Three crisp corn tacos filled with tender top sirloin tips, grilled with pork chorizo, garnished with shredded lettuce and queso cotija, served with pico de gallo and a salsa de aguacate.
SO GOOD!

Learnin' to fly
Some other activities for the month included going to RSLs home opener against the Seattle Sounders, Easter!, Bugs making desert, Having Grandpa Frost finally extract Bugs "little" front tooth (the benefits of having a dentist in the family), Marcie and Logan showing how much alike they really are, Bugs showing off her blue eyes :
I cant in good conscious, close the book on April 2010 without giving you something to look forward to in May (besides Marcies Birthday, Mothers Day, our Cancun Trip and my return trip to New Jersey). The movie Robin Hood comes out May 14th reuniting one of my favorite actors (Russell Crowe) with my favorite director (Ridley Scott). "Rise and rise again until lambs become lions". Trust me, its going to be good!
Oh, one more thing...I keep forgetting who i have told and who i haven't so i figure this is a good way to get the info out: I am deploying to Kandahar, Afghanistan for 6 months this summer....OH JOY!

March Madness!
The best excuse I can come up with for already breaking my one and only New Years Resolution is that the month of March flew by. I was at a school on the East Coast for a couple of weeks and we spent a weekend in Vegas. Here we are, 2 days into April and I am finally getting it done. Better late than never. I first want to say that March was a good month for TV, mainly because both Amazing Race and Survivor started new seasons! DISCLAIMER: Some of these pictures are grainy and basically SUCK, if anyone can tell me how to make our Nikon CoolPix to be better it would be much appreciated!!
Here is a short synopsis of what else happened this month:
My Guard unit held a "Hometown Heroes" ceremony honoring all of us that have deployed since September 11 2001. I got to be the MC for the ceremony, the highlight of the evening is that Governor Herbert was the keynote speaker.

This is Bob Bennet's senior advisor reading a letter from Senator Bennett. Note that Governor Herbert is looking directly at ME! Why? Cause I'm dead sexy!
I also found some random Christmas pics on our old camera (note the huge white date stamp emblazoned on each pic)
Logan found his future car in Vegas (Ferrari)
I tried my best to have an instant heart attack by eating a plate of chili cheese fries from Ben's Chili Bowl in D.C.
Bugs mugging for the camera at our favorite pizza place (the Pie) while Logan and I play a rousing game of "Big Game Hunter" in the background.
Brianna's indoor soccer team "Orange Krush"
Logan did his country report on Bolivia. Thank goodness that is over with, I think we did more work on it than he did.
Hoping that I didn't get exposed to dangerous levels of radiation by standing by the Enola Gay at the Smithsonian.
Go Karts in Vegas are always fun!
Logan's side soccer project, Sinaloa will be playing for the U14/15 boys championship tomorrow! He made it on the top scorers list despite being 2-3 years younger than the rest of the league. He needs a few more assists though. Check him out here.

February is for LOVE.....and computer viruses, and 50 piece chicken nuggets and mustaches.
Wow that month went fast. February was chock full of excitement at the Frost residence. First, I want to say that after careful consideration...the music player is here to stay, for now. Which leads me into my first topic for February, the new Angels and Airwaves album LOVE. Its excellent, if you want to download for free, here's the link: http://modlife.com/angelsandairwaves.
The trial and tribulation for the month came in the form of the AV 2010 virus that our computer was infected with. I have repeatedly told our computer that if it goes out partying to use protection....which it obviously didn't. I could chronicle the ordeal it took to get the computer up and running again but it is best to just say, make sure you have all your digital pics and video backed up somewhere (which we did)!!
Other highlights from the month include a mustache growing contest at work, which i won (see picture)
I also have to profess my love / fascination for McDonald's chicken McNuggets. You can get a fifty piece right now for only $9.99...that's a great deal.
While we are on the subject of fast food, Taco Bell has combined two of my favorite things together Charles Barkley and Taco Bell food into 1 heavenly creation...the $5 box meal.
OK, enough about fast food and mustaches. Against all Frost tradition and logic, Brianna went snowboarding:
Bugs made the ever-present peace sign,
Logan spray painted the Calle bird on his bedroom wall,
Finally, we had both a killer Valentines day Breakfast and Dinner followed by a rousing game of "Loaded Questions" where we learned that someones historical figure that they most admire is "Chewbacca".....Oh the joy!! See you in March!!
