March Madness!

The best excuse I can come up with for already breaking my one and only New Years Resolution is that the month of March flew by. I was at a school on the East Coast for a couple of weeks and we spent a weekend in Vegas. Here we are, 2 days into April and I am finally getting it done. Better late than never. I first want to say that March was a good month for TV, mainly because both Amazing Race and Survivor started new seasons! DISCLAIMER: Some of these pictures are grainy and basically SUCK, if anyone can tell me how to make our Nikon CoolPix to be better it would be much appreciated!!

Here is a short synopsis of what else happened this month:

My Guard unit held a "Hometown Heroes" ceremony honoring all of us that have deployed since September 11 2001. I got to be the MC for the ceremony, the highlight of the evening is that Governor Herbert was the keynote speaker.

Me Kickin' it with the Gov...

This is Bob Bennet's senior advisor reading a letter from Senator Bennett. Note that Governor Herbert is looking directly at ME! Why? Cause I'm dead sexy!

I also found some random Christmas pics on our old camera (note the huge white date stamp emblazoned on each pic)

Logan found his future car in Vegas (Ferrari)

I tried my best to have an instant heart attack by eating a plate of chili cheese fries from Ben's Chili Bowl in D.C.

Bugs mugging for the camera at our favorite pizza place (the Pie) while Logan and I play a rousing game of "Big Game Hunter" in the background.

Brianna's indoor soccer team "Orange Krush"

Logan did his country report on Bolivia. Thank goodness that is over with, I think we did more work on it than he did.

Hoping that I didn't get exposed to dangerous levels of radiation by standing by the Enola Gay at the Smithsonian.

Go Karts in Vegas are always fun!

Logan's side soccer project, Sinaloa will be playing for the U14/15 boys championship tomorrow! He made it on the top scorers list despite being 2-3 years younger than the rest of the league. He needs a few more assists though. Check him out here.

Like I said, March was crazy busy...hopefully April is as fun!

I am always so excited when you guys post pictures! Your kids are growing up so much, they are all so cute. It looks like they are still keeping you pretty busy. We are so excited to see you guys in a couple of months. You have now totally missed your window of opportunity to visit us in Iowa, but no worries, I will soon start campaigning for visitors to Texas. If the warmer weather, cooler things to visit, and better place to stay can't persuade you guys to visit us we are hoping that maybe sometime in the next 3 years Logan will have a soccer tournament that will bring you to our neck or the woods!

oh my gosh, those fries look AMAZING! We should have waited a few years to go visit them so they could have found all these good places to eat... instead we ate at places like "The Pig and Steak".... hhahah

I'm super impressed with your night with the gov. I hadn't heard about this.

I'm totally laughing about the random christmas pictures stuck in the mix.

P.S. This post definitely does not count as your April post too.

We have your exact same camera and have the same issues! If you figure it out, fill us in on what helps! Way to go Logan! Miss you guys!

Remember when you helped me with my state report in the 5th grade, which meant that my one visual aid for a presentation on Kansas was a can of tuna?

We're glad you could make it out here again. With two visits in three years, you are only surpassed by Kim's parents for visiting us most frequently.

As for why you camera looks so crappy -- it must be user error, because our Nikon Coolpix always took great pictures. At least you lost the gigantic dates stamp.
