First blog post for 2010 and beyond

So, the bottom line for this post is to let all friends and family members know that Frost Family SW is ready to re-enter the blogosphere. After a year long hiatus mainly because of facebook (the internet version of crack) i have come to the realization the blog has its own niche in the social network game and on a larger scope, life in general. Let me tell you how i came to this conclusion:

First is the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421715/. For those of you who haven't seen it (or wont admit to it), the movie is a story of a man named Benjamin Button, who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences. The story is told through a journal that is kept by one of the main characters. After seeing the movie and listening to the tapes that Grandpa Frost made, i realized that a journal is a good way to communicate your story even after you are gone. I believe that a blog can suffice.

Second is the realization that blogging is not just for moms to brag about how great their life is / pitch unwanted products (no offense anyone, its not you). My brother Mike is a good example of a dude blogger that keeps it real, keeps it funny, and still updates the family of how he is doing (http://frostfamilyfun.blogspot.com/). Also, we got this cool new camera with lots of mega pixels.

Third, Marcie and i were looking at our blog the other day and i noticed a disturbing trend. 1 blog post in 2006, 14 in 2007, 18 in 2008 and sadly only 3 in 2009. So the job ahead of me is to refresh our blog dashboard...sorry, no "cutest blog on the block" themes and put some new pics up. One of my new years resolutions is to post at least something once a month this year. So with that, here are some updated pics of the family i promise they will have explanations and be more logical next month......we'll talk to you in February!

I'm so glad you guys decided to blog again. We love seeing pictures of the kids and hearing what you have been up to. I was almost offended by your description of bloggers until I realized that I'm not one of those moms who is always bragging about how great my life is but rather one of those moms who is always complaining about how much my life sucks!! I guess I don't fall into that category then? Love the new pictures, it looks like another fun soccer tornament. I'll be looking forward to more in February!

First of all, I feel like I've been promised this before. Second of all I totally will admit that I saw Benjamin Button, I loved that movie (oh sexy brad pitt). Third of all, as I've mentioned before in my blog, the main reason for keeping it updated is for journaling purposes.
And finally, I feel ripped off that I wasn't given a shout out. I feel like I try to keep my blog as much out of "mommy blogdom" as possible. I try to add in witty quips and interesting facts too. What the hell?

I hope this is a resolution that you stick with, so we can actually keep up with what's going on. Like who knew you were going to be in Vegas visiting Jared, until I happened to call the day that you got there?

Thanks for the shout out. I've actually been struggling a bit with my own blog lately, treading furiously to keep my head above water and get my weekly post out, rather than having the time to do my longer posts. In fact, I've been slow enough that it has finally motivated Kim to contribute a few posts to our blog recently.

By the way, the Curious Case of Forrest Button was crap. I was bored out of my mind in that movie. As usual, Brad Pitt did a good job, but this was just a less entertaining version of Gump, with better CGI.

Final point -- there is actually a really simple way to create a link in your posts, rather than post the entire address. Clink on this link, and follow steps 1 - 4.

One more thing -- is that Rivers Cuomo in that last shot, or did B just go see a 3D movie?

SWEET! We made the first blog post of 2010.
Well amazingly I managed 5 posts in 2009...so I kicked your butt, ha,ha. If you keep it up I might have to be a more diligent blogger else I will get the full brunt of all the "blog or die" vibes Mike and Crystal send out!!

It was fun to see you guys! Thanks for the visit.

Thanks, it actually does make me feel better to hear you say that. I was beginning to think that you hate me, what with no comments on my blog, no pictures of me on your blog, and no pictures of my husband in the annual family calendar...

This will be the only time I look at your website BloggerDan...I always knew you were gay.......unless at least 2 things occur on it this year. 1. Pictures from the Frost/Jensen family vacation and 2. the official announcement that our Amazing Race application has been turned in. I'm printing it out right now.

Alright, man, February is almost over -- where's your new post? You can't fail on your resolution already.

P.S. Adding a music player doesn't count as a post. And take that damn thing down.
